Conference '26

We are very pleased to announce that registrations for Conference '26 are now open!

The annual KAMAR Conference is a great opportunity to "rub shoulders" with other educators from across the country and learn how to get the best from your KAMAR. The conference is structured as a range of breakouts that cover a wide variety of topics. Some of these breakouts are presented by KAMAR staff and some will be presented by guest presenters - people who work in schools, using KAMAR "at the coal face", or by specialists from the wider education sector.

Where will Conference '26 be?

This year we're going to the Takina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre, across the road from Te Papa in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington.

When is it?

We'll be gathering on Thursday 21st - Friday 22nd May 2026.

What will it cost for me to come to Conference '26?

It costs $410 + GST per person for the two-day event. This includes morning tea and lunch for both days. If you'd also like to come to the ever-popular conference dinner on Thursday night, this is an additional $105 + GST per person.

I want to come! Where do I sign up?

You'll need to register on the KAMAR website (logon required). You can purchase your dinner tickets at the same time.

Registrations close 4pm, Friday 1st May 2026.

What topics will be covered?

We have 40 breakouts across the two days of Conference. You can see what's on offer here. You don't have to pre-register for breakouts, and you can change your mind at any time (including a few minutes after it has started!).

What do I need to bring to Conference?

Bring your curiosity and a willingness to learn and participate. Many of the breakouts are designed with engagement in mind, so you are most welcome to bring a laptop to Conference. We'll supply you with a copy of KAMAR that you can use during the conference - do NOT bring a "stand-alone" copy of your real KAMAR!

Once Day Courses
