Configure NZQA API for 2026

The NZQA API in KAMAR is now ready to be configured in preparation for the 2026 academic year.

There are a couple of steps schools need to complete before they can enable KAMAR to talk to NZQA via the API, so the sooner these are completed the better.

1) The schools ESL Manager will need to register with the Ministry of Education Sector Logon (ESL) for a 'Machine Account' for your school.

2) The schools Principal (or nominated person) will need to complete and return to NZQA their Terms and Conditions.

Please note that while the N4L Sector Service Desk endeavours to process your ESL form in a timely manner, processing times may extend by a few days during periods of increased demand.
